Welcome to Atlas Chiropractic of Raleigh!

Congratulations on your decision to consult with us! There is absolutely nothing to be nervous or anxious about. You should allow about 90 minutes for this appointment and be prepared to focus on your health concerns during your consultation and examination.

Paperwork and Video

When you enter our office, you will be greeted with a friendly smile by Patti and Serenity. They will collect your completed Health History paperwork, insurance information (if you have any) and request a copy of your ID.

You will then escorted to our state of the art examination/radiography room. One of our staff members will ask you to change into one of our stylish exam gowns to get ready for your chiropractic examination.

Chiropractic Consultation and Examination

You will meet with Dr. Boccella to discuss your health concerns at this point. The Doctor will begin your painless and non-invasive chiropractic examination including postural assessment and measuring leg length equality as well as taking any necessary digital radiographs (x-rays). If needed, we will finish your detailed examination using the Insight Subluxation Station computer which will measure muscle symmetry, spinal heat patterns and more.

After your examination, you will be escorted to a private room for your meeting with the Doctor.

Examination Results and Care Recommendations

Dr. Boccella will explain the results of your examination and show you your radiographs (if any were performed). They will discuss their recommendations with you and plan to begin chiropractic treatment at that time. You will remain fully clothed for all treatments. If you need the Atlas Orthogonal adjustment, radiographs may be performed immediately after the first Atlas adjustment. This will allow us to re-measure the structural alignment changes on the radiographs.  This is determined on a case by case basis.

After your initial adjustments, we will escort you into a quiet room to relax with some ice for your neck while enjoying the benefits of a pulsed electromagnetic field therapy (PEMF) session for approximately 15 minutes. Afterwards, Patti or Serenity will coordinate the scheduling of your recommended chiropractic care plan.  She will give you a New Patient folder with all of your Doctor’s home care recommendations and additional information for you to review.
